Is this offline-first and private?
Yes. All data lives in your browser via IndexedDB. No server, no login.
How do I back up or move my data?
Use Export to download a JSON file and Import to restore it.
What does Pro add?
Cloud backups (Drive/Dropbox/OneDrive/Box), bulk edit, themes, and reports.
How do I reset everything?
Go to Settings → Reset App (if enabled) to remove local data and caches.

Overview
BrowserTasks is an offline-first app. Your tasks and notes are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. No account is required. We do not operate a backend for this app.
Data We Store
- Tasks, notes, and preferences (locally in your browser)
- Optional backups you export (JSON files you save to your device)
What We Don’t Collect
- No server-side storage of your data
- No analytics beacons, ads, or trackers
- No personal identifiers unless you explicitly add them in task text
Backups & Sync
Export/Import lets you move data as JSON. If you choose to sync with a third-party storage provider in the future, your data will be governed by that provider’s terms and stored under your account there.
Security
Local storage inherits your device/browser security. Use a strong device password and keep your browser up to date. Anyone with access to your browser profile can access your tasks.
Data Deletion
You can delete all local data at any time via Settings → Reset App. This removes IndexedDB content and local backups saved by this app.

License
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal or internal business use.
No Warranty
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, or business interruption arising from use of the app.
User Content
You are responsible for the content you store in the app. Do not store sensitive or illegal content. Back up regularly using Export.
Third-Party Services
Optional integrations (e.g., cloud storage) are provided “as is.” Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.

Additional Terms — User Export Pro (Zendesk App)
These additional terms apply when you purchase or use User Export Pro via the Zendesk Marketplace.
Scope & Relationship with Zendesk
User Export Pro is distributed through the Zendesk Marketplace and runs within the Zendesk Apps Framework (ZAF). Your use of Zendesk is governed by your agreement with Zendesk, Inc. These terms govern the app itself.
Pricing & Billing
- One-time purchase per Zendesk instance, as listed in the Marketplace at time of purchase.
- Billing and taxes are handled by Zendesk per their Marketplace terms and policies.
- All sales are final. BrowserTasks does not offer refunds. Any refund requests must be handled directly through Zendesk in accordance with their Marketplace refund policy.
License (Marketplace)
Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use User Export Pro within the purchased Zendesk instance, for internal business purposes. Resale, sublicensing, or use outside of your instance is prohibited.
Data Handling
- Data accessed: Standard Zendesk user fields (e.g., name, email, role, org), tags, login activity, and related attributes solely to generate previews/exports.
- Processing: API calls are made via ZAF from the signed-in agent’s session. Data is used in-session to render previews and generate downloadable files.
- Storage & transmission: No customer data is transmitted to or stored on BrowserTasks servers. Exports are generated client-side and downloaded by the agent.
- Access controls: The app respects the agent’s existing Zendesk permissions and cannot access records the agent cannot see.
Support & Updates
We provide email support at support@browsertasks.dev. Updates may be delivered through the Zendesk Marketplace. We do not guarantee any specific feature roadmap or release cadence.
Availability; SLA
The app depends on Zendesk platform availability and APIs. While we aim for high availability, no uptime guarantee or SLA is provided.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the app, circumvent rate limits, or attempt unauthorized access to data. Use must comply with applicable law and your Zendesk agreements.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms or misuse. Upon termination, you must cease using the app. Marketplace terms may also apply.
Compliance
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the app complies with your internal policies and applicable laws, including privacy and data protection obligations.
Warranty & Liability (Marketplace)
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and our aggregate liability relating to the app shall not exceed the fees paid for the license, if any. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. All sales are final and non-refundable.
Changes to These Additional Terms
We may update these Additional Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The effective date is shown at the top of this page.
